Fatalities reported in Israeli attack on church in Gaza
Palestinian media reported that a church had been hit on Thursday during Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Two women were killed and seven people injured, the Palestinian news agency WAFA wrote. Several media outlets reported that the church in question was the Holy Family Church in the centre of Gaza City.
According to WAFA, displaced people were sheltering in the Catholic church. The Israeli military said it would investigate the reports.
Around 1,000 Christians live in the Gaza Strip, which has a total population of more than two million.
WAFA reported further Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since the morning, some of them involving fatalities.
None of the reports could be independently verified.
