Selena Gomez Declares Apple Cider The Polish Shade for Winter

Thanks to Bachik, Gomez’s nails were fashioned into her signature soft almond shape, and painted with Aprés Gel Couleur polish in Spiced Apple Cider, an appealing alternative to more obvious winter mani shades.

“Richly pigmented chocolate metallic shimmer is the perfect nail colour to evoke the cosiness of the season,” manicurist Sonya Belakhlef previously told Vogue. For those after a sparkle-free finish, opt for brown shades with hints of gray. This reads neutral, and is very flattering for the colder months, when our summer tans are nothing but a distant memory.

Expect to see spiced apple hues popping up on beauty palettes this season—after all, Selena Gomez previously had a hand in kick-starting the pink mocha and toasted manicure trends. To master the look at home, Bachik revealed that he always shapes and buffs the nail, ensuring to tidy up his clients’s cuticles before carefully painting on the polish. As a last step, he never forgoes a top coat, and prefers to use the Click Colors Top Coat from his own brand in Super Clear for a sleek finish.
