The Best Dressed Stars at the 2025 CFDA Awards

Tonight, the 2025 CFDA Awards took place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The annual ceremony, which honors and celebrates those innovating within the American fashion landscape, was hosted by triple-threat star Teyana Taylor.

Shortly before the awards were handed out on stage, however, the glitzy red carpet saw editors, designers, and celebrities arrive in breathtaking, impactful looks. The best dressed attendees of the night understood the evening’s brief: to have fun, take risks, and experiment with a brand new look.

Taylor, for one, took suiting to the next level in her bejeweled Thom Browne blazer. “It’s a suit—but a Thom suit. It’s so nasty, very suited and booted, and clean,” she told Vogue. Elsewhere on the carpet, statement dresses dominated. Supermodel Amber Valletta wore the plunging jungle-print Versace dress that J.Lo made famous at the 2000 Grammys, while Lily Allen leaned into revenge dressing (listen to her new album, West End Girl, to understand why) in a chic Colleen Allen bra top and matching skirt.

As for the most stylish men on the carpet, Alton Mason opted for unbuttoned tailoring (literally), while Sombr embraced the shrunken suit in Thom Browne. The night was all about embracing classics… with a twist. No boring or snoozy designs allowed!
